Appeal to find stolen Buddha statue

POLICE are trying to find a statue of Buddha that was taken in a garden theft.

The foot-tall, grey pot ornament was swiped from a garden in Greatham, on the outskirts of Hartlepool, during the night of Tuesday, August 30.
The statue, which stood in a garden in Queensway, is said to be very heavy.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the statue or any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Alan Frost, of Hartlepool Police, on (01642) 302110 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
